Executive/Leadership Coaching and Board Governance
As an experienced senior executive with an exceptionally diverse skill set, Judith Kidd adds an entirely new dimension to our practice. Judith describes herself as having “sat on all sides of the desk.” More accurately, Kidd has, over time, tried out virtually every seat, at every table, on both sides of the hallway!
Judith’s long standing passion is board governance. Utilizing well-honed and newly acquired skills, she recently completed training as ‘Certified Coach’ through the Gestalt International Study Center of Wellfleet (an Accredited Program of the International Coach Federation). Kidd focuses on board leadership and executive coaching for nonprofit organizations.
Judith’s extraordinary background combines a broad base of experiences in respected non-profits such as, Harvard University and Boston University, the Brookline Community Foundation and City Year – to premier funding and corporate entities such as the Boston Foundation and Bank of Boston. As the former president of the Brookline Community Foundation, founding Board Member of the Center for Public Interest Careers at Harvard, Jumpstart, HealthLeads and Project STEP, and currently the Lead Governance Trainer for Executive Service Corps New England, Judith is eminently qualified and an incredible asset to our nonprofit partners.
Whether raising funds or distributing them, founding an organization or leading it, functioning as a vice president, dean, executive director or volunteer – all her endeavors have resulted in extraordinary accomplishments for the institutions she has ably served. Kidd’s professional positions include: Director of Development (Boston University), Manager of Corporate Contributions (Bank of Boston), Director of Donor Relations (Boston Foundation), Associate Dean for Student Life (Harvard), and Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Development (City Year).
Energetic and enterprising, with a sagacious wit, Kidd is a graduate of Williams College and earned her MBA at Boston University. A life-long learner, Judith holds multiple certifications from the Harvard Extension School and Radcliffe Seminars Program. Kidd currently serves on several nonprofit boards and she is a longtime resident of Brookline, Massachusetts.
